Anarchy Street

How have I not known about this online store before today?!?  I want to cry--not only because this wonderland of low-price, trendy clothes escaped my knowledge for so long, but also because all the pieces I'm in love with are sold out.  However, I'm sure my credit card (and my mother) are both very excited about the latter.
Enjoy!

I don't understand how this beautiful faux shearling coat is only $79.  I do, however, understand why it is sold out.  Sigh...

Amazing.

I fell in love with these shoes the second I saw them.  So of course I took the time to email Anarchy Street to ask when they will be receiving a pair of these in a size 8.  I blame my sudden overwhelming urge to shop online and spend money that I don't have on the Wake Forest University business school.  A girl can only study so much without a little retail therapy!

ODLR

Hello, readers!  I apologize for being MIA--things have been hectic lately, to say the least.  I am actually now a guest blogger/writer for cocokouture.com, which means my posts here probably won't be as frequent as they once were.  I encourage you all to check out cocokouture; it's a great blogazine all about fashion, fitness/lifestyle, celeb, and beauty, and I will love you forever if you read my pieces!
This week, in light of my recent offer to work as a merchandising intern for Oscar de la Renta (can you say DREAM JOB!!) I thought I would highlight some of my favorite pieces from the classy, elegant designer.
Unfortunately, due to ODLR's hightech website, I cannot use pictures of the new items featured on the official website since they're not technically still photos.

Back to the Basics

"I think the market is saturated with shoes that are overdone.  It's almost like eating too much candy; eventually you want to come down from the sugar high."  These wise words come from shoe designer Edmundo Castillo.  Everywhere you look today--in magazines, on the runway, even out on the streets--footwear has become more complicated, detailed, and harder to walk in.  Don't get me wrong, I do love a great pair of extravagant heels, but it's extremely refreshing to see a new designer who wants to return to simplistic elegance.  It's one thing to look great in a store window or on a runway, but wearability is always going to be an important factor when I'm shoe shopping.
So I thank you, Mr. Castillo, for embracing pointy pumps and classic, beautiful, wearable shoes.
